DESCRIPTION OF A PLACE

USHUAIA

I have chosen Ushuaia because in my last trip to Argentina, we decided to go to that place because it’s so beautiful and exciting, but finally we couldn’t, because we wanted to go there by plane and a volcano exploded, so it was impossible. And I want to search of this city to know how it is and which things I could have visited.

Ushuaia is the capital city of Tierra del Fuego Province, Argentina. It is commonly regarded as the southernmost city in the world. the total of the population of this city is 56.956.The word comes from the language Ushuaia Yagan: “ush”(the fund) and “waia”(bay or cove). The habitants’ name of that city are “ushuaiense”. 

Ushuaia’s climate is temperate, humid all year round, summer and cold. This climate is also called: cold ocean climate. Strong winds from the west quadrant, originated in the Pacific tend to lash the city, which is why the trees grow unprotected from storms in the direction of the wind, which means that, because of their shape, are called “tree-flag” for their inclination.

This ctiy has a typically Southern cuisine. 

Finally I want to describe some feelings I have experienced. At first I didn't know anything about this city so I can't say a lot. During the experience of looking for information about this city I have learned how the people of there feel and some pictures that have helped me to see how it is. In conclusion I  definitelly want to go there the next time I will go to Argentina, and I didn't put in my redaction a lot of things because I think I have summarized it well.
