People! Zara commits to go toxic-free

Greenpeace compaigners wanted to eliminate releases of hazardous chemicals from Inditex group's supply chain and clothes, in 2011. Now, Zara has committed to eliminate this chemical. Those are good news for the environment and it's also important for consumers to know who they can trust.

In my opinion, I didn't realise that in clothes could be so many chemicals and even the worst ones. With this news I believe that Greenpeace compaigners have done a really good job and not only for the environment, that is important, but also a breakthrough for the publc information, and they're going to get rid of some of those chemicals group.

Internet empowers people to make a better world

Nowadays, technology has changed a lot and has improved in any ways like computers, mobiles, Tvs, etc. In my opinion Internet facilities my lifestyle in positive because if I don't know something or I want to chat with a friend, when I am lost, I can look for it on the Internet anywhere.

Firstly, I agree that tecnhologies can advance everytime more and more for facility our living together, but not only to help us in any occasion, if not to empower us and also to enjoy with its games and amasing technologies.
Let me give you an exmaple: <when I was at home once, my computer didn't work properly, so I decided to go on hotmail on the "tablet". I also can mention that Internet is whatever, so you can find it in phones, computers, ipads... However, I entered in hotmail and I could correct my project there or even catch it there, if I might lose it. I also could play games to enjoy a quarter before I went to study the following exam I had>.

That wasn't a quite good example to descrive it, but it's a reference to explican my point of view that Internet makes me a better world in those aspects.

Self-evaluation

My oral presentation was about Ken Men and I did it with Marina Costa.
At the presentation in general, I think we did quite good, because the resources we used (PowerPoint, two videos and a lot of images) were focused on the topic. Furthermore, we also did 10 minutes approximately, so 5 minutes per person.
The body language wasn’t our best part of the oral presentation, because I read a little bit one paragraph that was so difficult, but what I did, looking the video, is that I looked at the audience and not always to the same person. I’m quite proud of me because I’m a shy person but this day, I wasn’t.
We also tried to organize work in the best way possible and in my opinion we did. We could do it better because the audience could understand more what we were talking about, but I think it has been sufficiently well.
Looking at the video, of course we present new information because some topics we explained we didn’t know before, but I realize that we could put some examples more to be the information more clearly.

Listening what I said I believe that vocabulary was quite difficult and some words that people might not understood. I tried to put connectors between each sentence but it was difficult in this moment. However, as I have seen on the video, I did a good pronunciation but I talked a little bit slack and I realized that I have to open more the mouth when I talk, because the people could understand me better.

First liver cancer 'chemo-bath' in the UK

A “chemo-bath” which delivers toxic cancer drugs to just one organ in the body has been used on patients in the UK for the first time.
Chemotherapy drugs kill rapidly growing cells such as cancers, but they also attack healthy parts of the body, rather than just the tumor. These drugs are normally injected into the veins of the patients. It results in side effects such as fatigue, feeling sick, hair loss and damage to fertility.
Doctors believe targeting just one organ can prevent side effects. They also say it means they can give higher doses without causing damage to the patient.
Now, two patients in the UK have received chemotherapy focused on just their liver. The operation works by inflating balloons inside blood vessels on either side of the liver to isolate it from the rest of the body. The liver is then pumped full of chemotherapy drugs, which are filtrated out before the liver is reconnected to the main blood supply. It means only a tiny fraction of the chemotherapy dose ends up in the body.
Dr Brian Stedman suggested that any organ which could be easily separated from the blood supply, such as the kidney, pancreas and lungs, would be suitable for this kind of approach. However, he said the method was “in its infancy” and he was “not sure this is the finished product or the end of the story”.

I'm really proud of this move forward because we know that cancer is a terrible desease that some people couldn't exceed it and a lot of people is keeping it. Although, this doctor said that this method is in its infancy, is a light for a lot of people who is ill and a lot of scientists who are studying about this and to improve it, too. I really hope in few years they could have a quite good and sure method to kill cancer just on the affected organs.
When I saw and read this news I was really impressed for this advance and because few months ago I was thinking to be, in the future, an investigator of cancer cells. I don't want to be now, but it also interests me because is really  usefull for our future descendents and also arouse me something to investigate or to be something related in this world of science.

Denmark to abolish tax on high-fat foods

The Danish government has said it intends to abolish a tax on foods which are high in saturated fats. The measure was believed to be the world’s first so-called “fat tax”. Foods containing more than 2.3% saturated fat were subject to the surcharge. But authorities said the tax had inflated food prices and put Danish jobs at risk.
The Danish tax ministry said it was also cancelling its plans to introduce a tax on sugar. The ministry said one of the effects of the fat tax was that some Danes had begun crossing the border into Germany to stock up on food there.
Nowadays 47% of Danes are overweight and 13% are obese.
The tax was introduced in October 2011, however, the decision to get rid of the tax was agreed as part of the center-left minority government‘s budget negotiations.
On the one hand, I agree with the government to abolish a tax on foods wich are saturated, even if the population needs it for their healthy. But on the other hand, they can eat what they want so they are responsible of their wieght anf healthy, and the government doesn't have to inflate fat foods.

A joke podcast

Healthy eating for teenagers

Teenagers’ diets should sustain growth and promote good health. During this time, a number of physiological changes occur that affect nutritional needs, including rapid growth and considerable gains in bone and muscle (especially in boys). This is also a time when teenagers begin to develop real independence from their parents and they often choose food in response to peer pressure or as an act of defiance against parents. As a result of a nutrition survey, the average consumption teenagers reveal that they eat a lot of saturated food, calories, sugar and salt, while starchy carbohydrates and fiber is low in their diets.
Iron deficiency is one of the most common nutritional. Rapid growth, coupled with a fast lifestyle and poor dietary choices, can result in iron-deficiency anemia. The survey also highlighted that teens had a calcium intake below the recommended level, which has serious implications for their future bone health. The teenage years are very important to development of the bones. The richest source of calcium in most people’s diet is milk and dairy products.
Ideally, foods in the diet should be rich energy and nutrients: plenty of starchy carbohydrates (bread, rice, pasta, breakfast cereals, chapatis, couscous and potatoes); plenty of fruit and vegetables; two to three portions of dairy products (milk, yoghurt, cheeses); two servings of protein (meat, fish, eggs, beans and pulses); not too many fatty foods; limit sugar-rich food and drinks; and an important point would be take regular exercise.
A consequence of this lifestyle is that women are dissatisfied with their weight. And another important consequence caused by fatty and sugary foods is acne.
In my opinion, I agree with this news because it’s all true. Apart of the survey, all of us, teenagers, eat what we like if you can’t look fat or if it’s harmful for yourself. In my case I try to do a healthy diet in my way, or making my own meals to keep a fit body and a healthy way of life, but sometimes the wishes can be much more than your strength, so I also eat fatty food, but not a lot. I sometimes eat sugar and carbohydrates because I’m a person who likes food and sample it. However, it’s so difficult for a busy person, even if this person studies, like me, and has a busy life. I try to combine the school, the diets, the exercise, the private life, etc., but sometimes you can’t and you eat what you want to vent you.

Ovulation hormones make women 'choose clingy clothes'

Women are more likely to select clingy clothes when they are ovulating. But the University of Minnesota, study of 100 women, found these hormonal shopping habits were triggered by the proximity of attractive women. Women at different stages of their menstrual cycle were shown images of attractive women living locally or far away. Then, they were asked to choose clothes and accessories which they would like to buy. As a result, women who were ovulating and who had seen photos of attractive local women were most likely to buy “sexier” clothes than those shown photographs of unattractive women.
Dr Kristina Durante, who led the research, said: “The desire for women at peak fertility to unconsciously choose products that enhance appearance is driven by a desire to outdo attractive rival women. If you look more desirable than your competition, you are more likely to stand out. In order to entice a desirable mate, a woman needs to assess the attractiveness of other women in her local environment to determine how eye-catching she needs to be to snare a good man”.
Dr George Fieldman, a London-based psychotherapist, said: “What this study reveals is that people are only semi-conscious of the underlying reasons behind the choices they make in the context of buying sexy clothes”.

This news is quite interesting for me, mainly because I’m a girl and I didn’t know or realize didn’t about this. In my case, I can’t investigate for myself the reason of buying certain clothes, because I don’t live in a city and I don’t go shopping every week, but if I could, I would try if I buy more having menstrual cycle than not. However, what I’ve done, that also it is mentioned on the news, is that I sometimes have followed a famous girl for her way of dress up. And also, asses the attractiveness of other women in the same place that determine the eye-catching of a pretty man I like.

Dreams

I have secrets that I’ll never reveal, I have dreams that I hope to achieve and things I will never do again. Secrets are things you have done and never reveal because of the shame or because you feel bad of this. All of us have a lot of secrets, even if we have more experiences than others. I’m a person who has lived a lot of things and occasions, who has visited a lot of cities and cultures, and who has learned a lot of everyone who has passed in my life, but there has to happen a lot of time to be quite mature on me.
Something really different are dreams. I don’t have a dream since I was younger, like a lot of people have around, but I have little dreams that I wish to carry out in my near future. For example and the typical ones are: get my 2nd Batxillerat and pass the Selectivitat, enter to a university that I’d like, find my mate and make a family. Other things that are not on my planning way and I don’t know if I’m going to do or want to realize farther, are; go to USA, Australia and a lot of places more, go to Erasmus, live with a friend for a while in a very different places from here, make a funny and comedy film and be the protagonist, have a lot of different animals, get well playing an instrument, etc.
Actually, it’s not really good to make dreams because it’s not the reality. Sometimes you have to disconnect, but I think we have to follow our way and not run to the future, although we often do it, but just walk and see the opportunities that life gives you, farther of the bad things. It’s easy to say and hard to make it possible, but we have to be optimists with ourselves, because we only have one life. I’m going to do it, would you?

Britain's oldest man marks 110th birthday

Britain’s oldest man is celebrating his 110th birthday.

Mr Dean, who was born in Tunstall, Staffordshire, on 4 November 1902, says the secret of his longevity is being lazy, but his family says it may be down to a potion he drank in India. He has lived through two world wars and 24 British prime ministers.
He was the former church minister Reg Dean, from Wirksworth, and he continued to work as a minister until he retirement at the age of 80, and he has been married three times. His son, Cristopher said the family had its own theory about his long life.
Just before World War I, he was out in India and he was given an elixir by a local there and he drank his muddy mixture for living more than 100 years, and here he is now.
Now, Mr Dean became British’s oldest man. The current world record holder is 115 year old, from Japan.
The interviewer asked how he felt, and he said: “A year older than when I was 109! It has been a long year but I feel much better now. I can’t stay enough, it’s all very kind and I didn’t expect it and of course, I shall have another birthday celebrations when I am 130”.

In one hand, Mr Dean is a lucky man because he could live a lot of experiences, movements, jobs, etc., but in the other hand he is ill now, and he has passed a lot of problems and situations in his life that I think he would be in peace, but still living for their family, too.
I’m proud of him to reach here and I hope he could get his wish to celebrate his 130 birthday. It will be so difficult.
In conclusion, I hope to celebrate so much birthday celebrations and could live so many years like him, to see my grandchildren, and even my great-grandchildren.

Human papilloma virus, HPV

There are over 100 strains of human papilloma virus (HPV), and a lot of them can infect the genital and oral tissues of men and women. Some strains do slowly cause warty growths and some increase the risk of cancer in the affected tissue.
HPV is passed by genital contact, usually during vaginal sex as well as during oral sex.

Most people with HPV don’t develop symptoms or further health problems. However certain types of this illness can cause some symptoms like genital warts, cellular changes that lead to cancer of the cervix and possibly other less common but serious cancers including: vulvar cancer, cancer of the vagina, cancer of the penis, anal cancer, etc. It’s also possible to have HPV present years after sexual contact with an infected person, and also, to be exposed more than one strain of HPV.

There are two vaccines that have been produced to protect against HPV: Cervarix (before they become sexually active, to protect against 2 strains) and Gardasil (to protect against four strains). These vaccines consist in three vaccines, and they are only for girls and not for boys, although many argue that they should do it.

In my opinion, the papilloma virus can change your life like another virus, but you can prevent it using protections while you do sex and other kind of things. You have to be responsible of yourself, and also do the vaccine I think is a good action to forestall it. I also agree that boys should do this vaccine.

Mario Casas

Mario Casas was born in la Coruña, on the 12th June in 1986. He is a young Spanish actor and one of the best ones. He does his job quite good and with much effort.

At first, he thought he could be a footballer, a policeman or a fireman, but suddenly he saw that his specialty is the interpretation. He started on the publicity and realizing few series and films, nevertheless and inadvertently, he was already infiltrated in this world. All of us knew that he would be an actor who would really excite us with his words and enjoy any of his films.
In the last five years, Mario Casas has done a lot of films with a lot of famous actors too. He is so young but has a long way to go, to succeed and to be even better.

Personally, he is one of my favorites actors, not only because he is very handsome and attractive, if not because he transmit me something that is really difficult to do. He makes me participate on each film he does and cry in all of them. In my point of view, he is particularly good in his job and I hope he will continue along this way and I will continue exciting these feelings that I like so much.

Halloween

Do you celebrate Halloween?

In my case, I don’t like Halloween, so it’s a reason that I don’t celebrate it at home. It is an English festival and not a Catalan tradition, but it has arrived here from American films and English classes at schools.

However, when I was younger I used to celebrate it with my friends. At the evening, after having dinner, we dressed up costumes, we make-up like ghosts, and we planned how we would do it that night. Then when we were ready, we rang at the doors of our neighbor’s houses. We sometimes met nice people who gave us sweets and presents, furthermore, there were other kind of people who didn’t open us the door.
When we got cold and we had a lot of sweets, we came home and distributed the presents.
But now, I’ve grown up so I don’t do this, but there are some adult parties here that teenagers can enjoy this night.

Maybe I will go at one of these parties with my friends, but in my case, it won’t be for the Halloween night, if not to have a great time with them.

Dialogue

Scenario: Two friends talking about their mum’s mechanisms to keep young
Characters: José, Eva

J: Oh, did I tell you that my mum got an appointment in Corporación Dermoestética?
E: Wow, really? Why?
J: She is upset about her wrinkles.
E: Is she confident with her decision, isn't she?
J: Yep, she is firmly decided.
E: Did she try any cosmetics?
J: Well, I think she never thought about that. My mum believes (that) they can be harmful.
E: Oh, come on. It’s known (that) operations are dangerous, aren’t they?
J: I knew you wouldn’t like that…I don’t disagree with her at all, though.
E: But why she wants to spent money on operations? She may feel bad with wrinkles, it’s so…unnatural!
J: Yeah, I think you’re right. Oh gosh, you always preferred to avoid this kind of things, didn’t you?

"We can't live without humor"

It's true that humor is a fun side of our attitude and we can be more or less humorists, but we have it, of course. More over, the question is, what's the function of the humor in our lives?

On the one hand, some people have the virtue of making laughter to the others or making angry them, and some people don't develop this virtue. The function of the humor is talk, link and comunicate with the others, because we aren't stones and our passions guide us. Furthermore, the real function is leave the real life for a second and enjoy the moments like if they would be the last. It's a way to disconnect of the rutine, and we need it.

On the other hand, life is not all humor. You can be a humorist person but it's only a part of your attitude, not all of it. You have to differentiate humor than reality (your job, the formal conversations,....). In fact, the humor can be positive and negative, and when it's extremely negative you can't put up with this person.

To sum up, my opinion is that the title is particularly true, because I'm a humorist person but with moderation. Sometime you have to disconnect. Isn't that true?

Re-write the exam composition

"Time is your enemy. It will steal everything away from you".

Do you think time is your enemy? In general, people think that it's particulary true but they don't have a clear answer.

First of all, the time never stops, never goes faster or slower, it is on its way. Consequently, if I want that my childhood goes fast to enter to my adulthood it's impossible because the time teaches you that you have to pass for all those days and experiences at the same time than the rest of the other days of your life.

It can also be argued that time will steal everything from you, because if you like doing something or you have friends and you love them, they never will go away from you, if you are not bad with them or if you don't permit it. however is true that the experiences you have lived, are not going to happen in the same time and space.

To sum up, I firmly believe that you only have to live extremely and enjoy your adventures because you never know what you will find, don't you?

SUMMER PARADISE

My last summer was really stressful. I did a lot of things. First of all, when I finished 1st of Batxillerat, I started to work on a summer camp, taking care of children at the age of three, four and five years old. I was working in the mornings all of July, and at the afternoons I was working in a Paintball. I really enjoyed this month because I like being stressed, but the next month was better than July. In august, I didn’t work in a job, but I particularly worked in my schools’ project of 2nd Batchillerat. I have learned a lot because it’s an interesting topic for me. My project is about the apples of Sant Pere Pescador, in particular. Apart from working, I have seen a lot of friends that I didn’t see for months. We really enjoyed the beach, the swimming pool, going by boat, going out at nights and also to different towns’ festivals. On the last party of the summer, I went to a small town festival. I go there every year and it’s amazing. You have to dress up like Carnival and other different activities, too. I love go there because all the residents take part on the festival and they do it together.
The end of the summer was sad because I didn’t want to start school. Now, I’ve just started and I hope that those quarters will be easy and quick, although I know it’s not true.

Lovely summer, goodbye until the next one!

FINAL REFLECTION

First of all, I think that my 1st Batxillerat has been very good and I'm proud of my improvement. I have worked very hrd and I tried to do th best of myself to improve y Engish and my marks.
Observing my work on the blog and in the exams I have increased a lot grammar and vocabulary from a lot of places (news, books, oral presentations...). And, I also think my oral fluency is the skill I have improved the best. Rebecca and oral presentations have helped me a lot. I don't think any activities are unuseful to improve or to learn English, because all help you, bu in my case, listening to songs is a waste of time.
I have enjoyed a lot doing speking with Rebecca, reading books, doing acivities in Aula Idiomes, ... and I hope to do it next year.
I'm going to end my final evauation saying hat the ext year could be the same, because I was comfortable in the class with the teacher and the students, that they are, now, my companions.

Left outside alone

All my life I’ve been waiting/ Tota la meva vida t'he estat esperant
For you to bring a fairy tale my way/ perquè tu em portessis un conte de fades
Been living in a fantasy without meaning/ he estat visquent en una fantasia sense sentit
It’s not okay/ no està bé
I don’t feel save/ no em sento segura
Left broken empty in despair/ em vas enfonsar en el buit de la desesperació
Wanna breath can’t find air/ vull respirar, però no trobo aire
Thought you were sent from up above/  pensava que tu em pujaves des de dalt
But you and me never had love/ però tu i jo mai hem tingut amor
So much more I have to say/ tantes coses t'he de dir
Help me find a way/ ajuda'm a trobar un camí
And I wonder if you know/ i em sorprenc si tu saps
How it really feels/ com realment se sent
To be left outside alone/ estant sola
When it’s cold out here/ quan fa fred fora d' aquí
Well maybe you should know/ bé, potser tu sabràs
Just how it feels/ com se sent
To be left outside alone/ estar sol
To be left outside alone/ estar sol
All my life I’ve been waiting/ tota la meva he estat esperant
For you to bring a fairy tale my way/ perquè tu em portessis un conte de fades
Been living in a fantasy without meaning/ he estat visquent en una fantasia sense sentit
It’s not okay/ no està bé
I don’t feel save/ no em sento segura
I need to pray/ necessito resar
Why do you play me like a game?/ per què em tractes com un joc?
Always someone else to blame/ sempre algú més a qui culpar
Careless, helpless little man/ sense cures, sense ajudes petit home
Someday you might understand/ algun dia potser entendràs
There’s not much more to say/no hi ha gaire res a dir
But I hope you find a way/ però espero que trobis un camí
Still I wonder if you know/ encara em sorprenc que sàpigues
How it really feels/ com se sent
To be left outside alone/ estant sol
When it’s cold out here/ quan és fred fora d'aquí
Well maybe you should know/ bé, potser hauries de saber
Just how it feels/ només com se sent
To be left outside alone/ estar sol
To be left outside alone/ estar sol
I’ll tell you/ t'explicaré
All my life I’ve been waiting/ tota la meva he estat esperant
For you to bring a fairy tale my way/ perquè tu em portessis un conte de fades
Been living in a fantasy without meaning/ he estat visquent en una fantasia sense sentit
It’s not okay/ no està bé
I don’t feel save/ no em sento segura
I need to pray:/ necessito resar:
Heavenly Father/ Pare celestial
Please/ siusplau
Save me/ salva'm
And I wonder if you know/ i em sorprenc si tu saps
How it really feels/ com realment se sent
To be left outside alone/ estant sola
When it’s cold out here/ quan és fred fora d'aquí
Well maybe you should know/ bé, potser hauries de saber
Just how it feels/ només com se sent

My first day on the beach

Yesterday, when I left from classes, Marina and I were very tired and very hot because of the weather. When we were coming home, we decided to go to the beach. We didn’t know who will carry us, but we wanted to do the first tan.
When we arrived, anyone was at home, so we decided to go by bike. We were riding for 20 minutes approximately and at last, we arrived on the beach. I really wanted to have the first bath because I love the sea but I am a bit afraid to it. At first, the water was cold but then, when you are all inside it’s the best. There weren’t any jellyfishes, so I could swim.:) After half an hour, I went to sunbathe for a long time.
It was particularly fine because I could relax and think. I hope I could repeat that day with Marina!

Brownie

Today I’m going to tell you something about me and then I’ll put here a recipe.
Well, I like cooking, specifically make the desserts but I don’t know so much. If some day I have to prepare the lunch or the dinner to my family, I use to cook easy dishes like Italian pasta (macaroni, spaghettis …) or rice with a little bit of tuna, tomatoes, corn, egg, cheese, some olives etc., vegetables boiled, cheeps, salads, meat or fish and more, but not complicated dishes.
Now, it’s coming the season (summer) I have to cook the lunch very often, because my parents work and they can’t make it.
I make these and other cakes with my sister because she knows a lot, more than me.
The dessert I make often is the brownie which is much known in England and more places of the world. The essential ingredients of this dessert are the chocolate and the walnut… it’s very good.

Here, I leave brownie’s recipe if someone can make it or if he/she doesn’t know it.

Ingredients:
-80g of fondant chocolate
-125g of butter
-2 eggs
-150g of sugar
-60g of flour
-100g of walnuts

Preparation:
1. Melt the chocolate with the butter (to the bain-marie). Take off the recipient from the fire and to stop to cool.
2. Beat the eggs with the sugar until they are creamy and add the molten chocolate.
3. Incorporate, little by little, the flour and the minced rudely walnuts, and mix well.
4. Lead it in a rectangular tin (mottle) smeared with butter. Introduce it in the oven (200ºC), and cook it during 20-25 minutes.
5. And taste it!

I hope that somebody try to cook this dessert ;)

Enjoy your meal.

We have almost learnt to respect our world

I agree with the idea that we have learnt to respect our world. “Respect our world” is a sentence that you can understand in many ways.

I have understood it as we don’t have to contaminate or leave our waste in the street, we don’t have to endanger animals for our benefit, even if it’s indirectly.

In my opinion, I think people have learnt to respect our world by watching TV, documentaries, reading magazines, etc., but we don’t pay attention to this because we think we are doing right, and we don’t want to correct it. I am talking in general, because we know that some people do it right, but no one is perfect and we are humans, we are wrong.

I would say in conclusion, that we produce a lot of waste, but we are going to continue in this way, because we are lazy. If we encourage it, the world would be a better place to live in.

My 2012’s summer

In June I finish my classes and the summer start with particularly emotion and I can’t wait to come. I’m really enthusiastic because I am going to do a lot of things.
First, I am going to go to a camping with my friends for four days. We will go to the beach, to the swimming pool and go to parties, too. When I return, I will work, in the mornings, in a summer camp side if they take me on for the job, and in the afternoons, I am going to work in a Paintball, like a joker doing what they need, or doing my research project of Batxillerat.
In August, I will be very stressed with the research project and I will be with my friends doing activities. In September, before starting 2nd Batxillerat I will go to famous parties with my friend, Carla.
I really want to have a breaktime from homework and studying.

My evaluationof 1st Batxillerat

This year has been very stressful and hard. At first, I was a little bit nervous because I didn’t know how it would be or if I would have to repeat the year. But now, I think it’s like 5 of ESO with a lot of homework and double exams.
I have chosen the best path for me, Sciences. I really like them and I enjoy the units. For example: Biology and Chemistry. I don’t know what I will do in the coming years, but I’m happy this way because I don’t like Economics or Humanities, and I wouldn’t enjoy then or learn anything. Now it’s the end of term and first Batxillerat and we have a lot of exams. I hope that I can do then without any fails. I have all the subjects passed, but this term is the final one and it’s more difficult. I will finish my classes in June, but I have the research project, so I want to do it in summer or move it forward.
I hope that my 2nd Batxillerat will be with the same people from my class, because we have bonded, and the year could be like the first one.

Oral Presentation - Axolotl

On the 9th May, Marina and me did the oral presentation about animals in danger of extinction. Specifically, we did axolotl. It isn't a common animal, so we decided to do it because we were sure that nobody would know about it.
My first impression of finishing my presentation was that I did it very well, I was very sure of myself and not embarassed. I think it has been the best presentation of the three we have done this year. When I saw the video, I found some mistakes I did, for example some words I pronunced wrong, I tried to look at the whole class, but in the video I saw that Most of the time I was looking at the teacher. But a part from mistakes, I didn't read so I think it is a good point for me, because I prepaired it before.

Sant George's night

It was a really good day. During the day I was at the school studying and in the afternoon, I was doing my homework and then, at 8 pm I went to sing with my choir. I sing with Fato, Marina, Homa and Joana. That night we had a concert because it was a special or important date in the year for Catalonia. We had to wear a black T-shirt and black trousers, with different accesories for each song we sang. We sang 7 songs; one in Euskera, three songs in Catalan, twice in English, and another one in "Suahili". In the middle of our songs, some people of Sant Pere Pescador were reciting poems and doing a little theatre. It was really good and the people really liked it so much. In my opinion, this concert was one of our best concerts we have done.
